Graveside services for Jimmie Yuvonne Kirkes, 83, of Francis are 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Francis. Rev. Steve DeShazo will officiate.
Yuvonne passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 6, 2020. Yuvonne was born February 10, 1937 at Oakman to James Allen and Bessie Marie (Daniels) Lambert.
Yuvonne attended school in Francis and Byng. She was employed in the finance and loan business from 1959 until 2001. She was the first female manager for the Public Finance Company.
Yuvonne married Billie B. Kirkes, the love of her life, on October 16, 1953 in Francis, OK. She was a very loving wife and mother, and a very strong personality. No one enjoyed setting a table for family and friends more than Yuvonne. She was an active member of Francis First Baptist Church and a community leader for many years in Francis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Allen and Bessie Marie Lambert; and a brother, John Robert Lambert.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Kirkes, of the home; son, Gus Kirkes and wife Jan; daughter, Linda Wade and husband Jim; and son, Brian Kirkes; sister, Marilea Teel and husband Raymond; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
