Services for Katie Marie Harrison, 83, of Francis are 2:00 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Francis, Rev. Steve DeShazo will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harrison passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at an Ada nursing home. She was born October 9, 1935 at Laneville, TX to Joe and Nettie Collins Teer.
She married James Carlos “Twink” Harrison February 7, 1955. He preceded her in death January 7, 2013. Mrs. Harrison was a child care worker, a member of the First Baptist Church in Francis and had also served on the Pontotoc County Election Board.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Cochran and husband Greg of Sulphur and Alisa Harrison Mowery and husband Shawn of Francis; two brothers, Joe Teer, Jr. Kennedy, TX and Clayton Teer, Montgomery, TX; two sisters, Edna Padgett and Eloise Dykes, both of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Kristi Hood, Aaron Ross, Kenton Tyler, Lindsay Ross, Bradley Cochran, Ashleigh Gonzalez, Paige Mowery, Ashton Mowery, Brent Mowery and Clint Mowery; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James Carlos “Twink” Harrison.
Bearers will be Aaron Ross, Brad Cochran, Kenton Tyler, Tony Gonzales, Kevin Hood and Tim Crawley.
