Franklin Ray Harris, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
He is survived by wife, Valerie Harris; daughter, Lindsey and husband Dennis Lee of OKC; son, Ryan Harris of Shawnee; granddaughter, Skylar Lee; parents, Eual and Maria Harris of Francis; brothers, Roy Harris and Mary Pruitt of Duncan, Randy and Tammy Harris of Jones; nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jahaun and Anna Marie Kraus; paternal grandparents, Isom Franklin and Nettie May Harris
Frank graduated from Byng High School in 1973, received his Bachelors Degree from East Central University and Master’s Degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Frank spent the majority of his working career at Oklahoma Department of Agriculture as Director of Dairy Services. He retired with 30 years in 2011 and shortly after began a new journey with FDA as Regional Milk Specialist where he was currently working.
He was a very devoted husband and father. He spent a lot of time coaching his children at a very young age and following them during college sports. He loved his family, being outdoors, helping his parents on family farm, working out and keeping up with sports.
He had a kind heart and treated everyone with respect. He will be deeply missed.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Criswell Funeral Chapel in Ada. Pastor Clarence Prevost will officiate. Burial will be at Francis-Cedar Grove cemetery.
