Services for Virgie Ruth Davis, 77, of Ada, are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. David Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery near Francis.
Mrs. Davis died Monday, September 8, 2014 at an Edmond nursing home. She was born February 19, 1937 at Dougherty, Oklahoma to Robert L. West, Jr. and Lavada Fountain West. She graduated from Francis High School.
She married Franklin Davis on August 7, 1954. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a real estate broker. She was a member of Quail Springs Baptist Church in Edmond.
Survivors include her husband, Franklin Davis, of the home; a daughter, Diana L. Hull and her husband Jon of Sachse, TX; two sons, Anthony J. Davis and wife Lori of Ada and Alan G. Davis of Edmond; five grandchildren, Sabrina Conrady, Edmond, Christina Hull, Allen, TX, Brian Tiger, Carrollton, TX, Amy Davis, Norman and Robert Davis, Ada; four great grandchildren, Avery Conrady, Gabriella Young, Autumn Davis and Sadie Davis; one brother, Robert L. West; and two sisters, Joy Geno and Shirley Hill. Special thanks to JoAnn Choate for her loving care during Virgie’s illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joe West; and a sister, Lois Baker.
Bearers will be family members.
