Vickie Lamay Canada, 72, passed away November 28, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Vickie was born December 21, 1951 to Billie Mae and William McLish in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Vickie graduated in 1969 from Byng High School in Byng, Oklahoma. She met the love of her life, Ronnie Canada, when she was 15 years old in downtown Francis and they were happily married February 14, 1969. Together they shared 55 beautiful years and many wonderful memories.

Vickie’s hobbies were watching Oklahoma Sooners sports, reading, traveling, and camping. She loved to have a good time and had a crying laugh no one could forget. She was also the biggest Elvis fan you would ever meet. Vickie worked for the Chickasaw Nation for 28 years and was set to retire at the end of the year.

Vickie is preceded in death by her mother Billie Kellogg and her father Jerry Kellogg, her father Willam McLish, sisters Joyce Greenwood, Sharon Woody, Phyllis Horton.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Ronnie Canada; Children Jonathan Canada and wife Tamara, Jason Canada and wife Sammi; Sister Kelly Kellogg; Grandchildren Ashley Murray and husband Houston, Cailee Kinder and husband Ryan, Cameron Canada and wife Morgan, Jussely Canada and significant other Rachel, Madison Mathis and husband Tanner, Andrew Gibson, Marry Lasley, Joe Lasley and fiancé Raelyn ; Great Grandchildren, Raegan, Harper, Colsen, Hayden, Dayne, Payslee, Boadie, Jaelyn, Braxton, and one on the way; Brother-in-laws Tommy Horton and Ronnie Greenwood along with numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and cherished deeply.

There will be a funeral service held in honor of Vickie’s life officiated by Richard Bailey on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 1:00PM at the Chickasaw Nation Community Center in Ada with interment to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis, Oklahoma. There will also be a come and go visitation held at Criswell Funeral home on Sunday December 1, 2024.

Pall bearers will be Cameron Canada, Ryan Kinder, Hunter Horton, Fisher Horton, Boadie Manuel, Andrew Lasley, and Joe Lasley.
