Candido Kemp Yepa, 78, of Jemez Pueblo, NM, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born May 3, 1941 in Winslow, Arizona to Pablo and Lupe (Sarracino) Yepa. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Loretta (Rita) Yepa; two daughters Yvette (Jay) Morrison and Danielle (Ron) Yepa Gunderson along with two grandchildren, Claire and Hailey Gunderson; one brother Walter (Mary) Yepa, along with numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, family and friends. His passing is preceded by both parents as well as his son Anthony Brian Yepa, a sister, Felicita Sanchez, and brother, Jimmy Yepa.

Kemp was a devoted, husband, father and “Papa”. He enjoyed farming chile in Jemez and was an avid sports fan, especially OU football. Spending time with his family was of the utmost importance to Kemp, and he was always looking forward to seeing his “cutie pies”. He will be forever missed by his family and friends for his quick smile, ability to tell a story that made you laugh, his warm embrace, and his caring heart. He will continue living in all of our hearts for nothing loved is ever lost, and he is loved so much.

Family, friends and others whose lives Kemp touched are invited to the Daniels Family Funeral Services Wyoming Chapel in Albuquerque, NM from 2:00 - 4:30 PM, March 9, 2020 and the Criswell Funeral Home in Ada, OK from 1:00 - 2:00 PM, March 11, 2020 before he is laid to rest at the Atkins Family Cemetery, Stonewall, OK.
