Graveside services for Wanda Ruth Kemp Atkins, 84, of Stonewall, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Atkins Family Cemetery, south of Stonewall, David Atkins will officiate.

Mrs. Atkins passed away Sunday, August 29, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Clinton. She was born February 3, 1933 at Blanco, OK to Stanton and Lizzie Pope Kemp. She attended Carter Seminary in Ardmore and the Haskell Institute in Lawrence, KS.

She married Eugene L. Atkins July 19, 1956 at Oakland, CA. He preceded her in death February 11, 1986. Mrs. Atkins was a homemaker and a member of Hickory Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Stanton Atkins of Stonewall; a daughter, Anna Hulsey of Stonewall; a grandson, Ryan Atkins; and two brothers, Warren James, Tahlequah and Jesse James, Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Robert Lindsey Atkins; and several siblings.
