Services for Leroy McFadden, Jr., 69, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the St. James Church of God in Church in Ada. Elder Alfred Douglas will officiate. Burial will follow at Athens Cemetery.

Mr. McFadden passed away March 6, 2016 at his home. He was born December 5, 1946 in Ada to Leroy McFadden and Charlene Fuller McFadden.

He married Mary Magdelene Lewis in 1986. He lived in Hammond Heights until his death, surround by a community who loved and adored him. Leroy worked at M & M Outdoor Maintenance, Valley View Regional Hospital and Solo Cup Company. He was a very good worker and appreciated at M & M. He was a good hearted person, loved by his brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; three sisters, Rosetta King of Englewood, CA, Elizabeth Dennis of Kansas City, MO and Betty Barbee and her husband Marvin of Bowling Green, KY; a brother, James McFadden of Englewood, CA; and many nieces, nephews and other family members. He loved his nieces and nephews. He was a very likable person and will truly be missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dale McFadden; and three nephews, Eric Murphy, Jr., Evangel Douglas, Jr. and Darren King.

Bearers will be Nathaniel Blakely, Jr., Maurice Lewis, William Franklin, Jr., Alonzo Albert, Marcus Rogers and Shawn Davis. Honorary bearers will be Leon Alfred, Jr., Nathaniel Blakely, Sr., Nelson Lewis and James Brown. Flowers bearers will be Shirley Brown, Shirley McKinney, Vonne Brown, Cheryl Jackson, Sheila Sturgeon, Nacole Brown.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Alonzo Albert and the employees of M & M for their committed love and care for our loved one.
