Graveside services for Edith “Honey” Anderson, 90, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Athens Cemetery, Rev. Charlene Blue will officiate.

Ms. Anderson passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at an Ada nursing home. She was born April 10, 1929 at Ada to Morris Anderson, Sr. and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Colbert Anderson. She lived in this area all her life and graduated from Napier High School.

Ms. Anderson was a homemaker and she was a member of Philemon Baptist Church. “Honey” as she was known, loved her baby dolls and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She loved to sing.

Survivors include nephews, Patrick Richardson and wife Lynie, Maurice “Spooky Jr.” Lewis, all of Ada, Alonzo Bowlegs, Jr. and his wife and daughter, of San Francisco, CA, and Billie Floyd Colbert and his wife and daughter, Inglewood, CA; nieces, Janice Williams of Ada, Billie Ann Bowlegs, San Francisco, CA, and Lynn Bowlegs and her daughter, San Francisco, CA; great nieces and great-nephews, Christina Davis of Oklahoma City, Shonda, Oklahoma City, Van Lewis, Shawnee, and Maliaeh Lewis, Shawnee; and other nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Chris Anderson, D. C. Anderson, Samuel Anderson, Morris “Spooky” Anderson, Jr., Ovella Bowlegs, Jesse Parker, and Betsy Colbert.
