Services for Helen Myrtle Royer, 96, of Shawnee and formerly of Allen are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel; the Rev. Phil Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery.
Mrs. Royer passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at her daughter's home in Shawnee. She was born Jan. 18, 1919, at Francis to Frank and Elvie Harris Scroggins. She attended Cedar Grove and Francis schools.
She married Bud C. Royer Sept. 4, 1938. He preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1996. Mrs. Royer had worked at the Allen School cafeteria and also at a nursing home . She was a longtime member of the Allen First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her three daughters, Sandra Kay Humphreys and husband Danny and Brenda Dixon, all of Shawnee, and Doris Luis and husband Manuel, Lemoore, California; two sons, Delton Royer and wife T. J., Vacaville, California, and Bill Royer and wife Nancy, Lemoore, California; a sister, Thelma Toney and husband Norvin, Stonewall; three brothers, Wib Scroggins and wife Juanita, Ada, Charles Scroggins, Oklahoma City, and Dale Scroggins and wife Sharon, Prague; her grandchildren, Cheri Ospital, Ronnie Luis, Mike Royer, Susan Wilson, Sherry Dixon, Stacy Crosthwait, Shellie Kelley, Chris Royer, Tammy McMaster, Cari Royer and Jennifer Herron; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Carl Wilburn Royer and Fred Franklin Royer.
