Services for Herman Dean Rinehart, 73, of Allen are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Allen School Auditorium, Rev. Gene Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 p.m. Tuesday until service time.
Mr. Rinehart died Saturday, April 20, 2013 at a Tulsa hospital. He was born August 27, 1939 in Non, Oklahoma to Lois Joel and Zu Ella Collins Rinehart. He attended Allen schools.
He married Fay Iker on September 3, 1977. Mr. Rinehart had been employed with the City of Allen, Allen schools as a bus driver and retired from Pontotoc County District #1. He was a member of the Happyland Free Will Baptist Church, and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Fay Rinehart, of the home; two daughters, Annette James and Diane Miller, both of Tulsa; a son, Stormy Rinehart and his wife Debbie of Allen; three brothers, Thurman Rinehart and his wife Betty, Ada, Wesley Rinehart and his wife Peggy, Allen, and Lesley Rinehart and his wife Arlene of Gerty; three sisters, Norma Jean Milne and her husband Jerry, Linda Knighten and her husband Jearl, and Deonna Griffin and her husband Bill all of Allen; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Erwin and his wife Lynette, Rocky James and his wife Mindy, Jdanna Janes and her husband Doug, and Kolt and Jesse Rinehart; five great grandchildren, London Erwin, Allison, Addison and Hudson James, and Jordan Kerby.
Bearers will be Rocky James, Jeffrey Erwin, Jesse Rinehart, Ricky Rinehart, Billy Griffin, Jerry Milne, Ryan Knighten, Willis Rinehart and Kolt Rinehart. Honorary bearers will be Thurman Rinehart, Lesley Rinehart and Wesley Rinehart.
