Graveside services for Eileen Overton, 93, of Allen are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Allen Cemetery, Rev. Chad Kaminski will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Allen Chapel.
Mrs. Overton died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at a local nursing home. She was born August 4, 1923 at Allen to Herbert and Georgie (Farmer) Long. She married Cecil Spain. She later married Olen “Bud” Overton. He died in 2007. Mrs. Overton was a homemaker and had worked through the years at various Allen and Ada businesses including Valley View Regional Hospital, Sun and Fun Shop, Bon Ton Cleaners and Georgia’s Gift Shop. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Allen.
Survivors include one son, H. C. Spain and wife Linda of Allen; two step-daughters, Pat Luper of Ada and Mary Jo Koehler and husband Bill of Agoura Hills, CA; a sister, Wanda Dooley of Ada; two grandchildren, Lisa Wallace and husband Stan of Allen and Bill Spain and wife LeaAnn of Ada; step-grandchildren, Kevin Luper and wife Lela of Ada, Amanda Koehler of Denver, CO and Jayne Nickell and husband Roger of Allen; great-grandchildren, Britten and Maebrey Wallace, Christopher, Clayton and Carter Spain and step-great-grandchildren, Jakob Luper, Cheyenne, Dakota and Kayla Nickell; a nephew, Jeff Dooley and wife Laura and family of Ada; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother-in-law, Ed Dooley.
Bearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
