Graveside services for Harold W. Milner, 86, Allen, are 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Allen Cemetery, Rev. Richard Bailey will officiate. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Milner died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at his home. He was born July 28, 1924 at Stuart, Oklahoma to Commodore D. and Alma Myers Milner. He attended Gerty schools and moved back to this area in 2005 from Carson City, Nevada.
He married Gail Geroux on May 12, 2001 in Carson City. She preceded him in death on March 3, 2006 in Allen. Mr. Milner was a self-employed truck driver, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and served as the American Legion Post Chaplain. Mr. Milner served in the U. S. Army from May 18, 1944 until November 18, 1945.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol McConomy, Shirley Michaelson and Norma Connelly and her husband Dennis; a son, Tony Milner and his wife Karen; 21 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; many good friends and neighbors; and special family members, Bill, Mary and Kenneth Long, and June and Bernie Sharp.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Lloyd Milner and Kenneth Milner.
Bearers will be Russell Davis, Dennis Connelly, Tony Milner and Ron Reece.
