Graveside services for C. C. Manuel, 101, of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Allen Cemetery, Chaplain Susan Ayers will officiate.

Mr. Manuel died Saturday, May 24, 2025 at his home. He was born January 14, 1924 in Gerty, Oklahoma to James Henry Patrick and Martha Ann Elizabeth Arrant Manuel. He was the second born of two children. Sadly, his mother fell very ill and his dad passed away. Mr. Manuel was blessed that his Uncle Daniel Jessie and Aunt Jennie Conner Auten Manuel that reared him and his sister, Elender Manuel Hawkins. He attended Gerty and Round Prairie Schools and graduated from Black Rock School.

Mr. Manuel married Mary Knighten on March 7, 1942. She preceded him in death on July 28, 2016. He was employed as a construction laborer until his retirement

. He is survived by his son, Kenneth Manuel of Ada; two daughters, Joyce Odom of Roff and Beverly Bishop of Coalgate; grandson, Kendell Manuel and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He dearly loved all of his family and friends, including Deana Lewis, all personnel at Choice Hospice, Barbara and Pete Joyner, Carolyn Hatton and Jessica Priest.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elender Hawkins; three sons, Charles Manuel, Jimmy Manuel and Melvin Manuel; and daughter, Leona Simmons; grandsons, Joe Odom, Mike Odom, Charles Dewayne Manuel and Jeffery Manuel; granddaughter, Teresa Simmons; great-granddaughter, Patricia Simmons; and great-grandson, Blair Odom.
