Services for Delores Jean Knighten, 66, of Stonewall are 2:00 p. m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Aaron Finney will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery.

Mrs. Knighten died Friday, February 17, 2012 at her home. She was born December 14, 1945 in Bakersville, California to J.D. and Ellen Marie Reed Wilson. She attended school in Gerty.

She married Charles Willie Knighten in December 3, 1961. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2004 in Allen, Oklahoma. Mrs. Knighten was a certified nurse’s aide and certified medication aide. She was employed with Ada Retirement and Care Center for 16 years and retired from Valley View Regional Hospital after working there for 11 years. Mrs. Knighten was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Bobby Knighten and his wife Shelly of Ada; a daughter and daughter-in-law, Debbie Knighten and Cynthia Townsend of Stonewall; a daughter, Donietta Walton of Francis; a son, Bill Knighten and his wife Mary of Lytle, TX; 12 grandchildren, J.D. Knighten, Desmond Knighten, Lacy Knighten, Trey Irvin, Geoff Irvin, Blake Irvin, Derek Irvin, Justin Thomas Knighten, Jeana Knighten, Billy Richardson and his wife Rosa, and Charles Knighten; 7 great grandchildren, Rayshawn Irvin, Jaysun Edwards, Jacob Edwards, Jonathan Edwards, Spreanna Fick, Winter Fick and Austin Fick; a sister and brother-in-law, James and Angela Richards of Ada; a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Retha Wilson of Allen; a sister and brother-in-law, Larry and Shirley Cooper of Yukon; a sister, Doris May Wilson of Gainesville, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. and Ellen Marie Wilson; her husband, Charles Willie Knighten; a sister, Stella Wilson; 3 brothers, J.D. Wilson, Jr., Steven Wilson and Stanley Wilson.
