Murriel passed away on October 26th at home surrounded by family. He was born June 3, 1931 to Bertha and Albert Johnson. He was married for 67 years to Florence Leona Wall. They married in Ada, Oklahoma on October 22, 1955 after just 2 weeks of dating.
Murriel is survived by his wife, Florence of the home; sons, Roy of Oktaha, OK, Randall of Ada, OK, Terry of Allen OK, Clark and wife Michelle of Perkins, OK; daughter, Patty and husband Oshiel of Ada, OK; one brother, Harvey Johnson of Ada, OK; and many generations of grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Murriel Freman Johnson, Jr. and Danny Matthew Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a retired mechanic and truck driver. He retired from the Allen Campers in 1995 after 27 years of service.
Murriel was a hard worker. When he wasn’t driving a truck, he liked working on cars, making his kids work in the yard and collecting junk or valuables, as he liked to call them.
When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed 3 things: being around his very large family; fishing; and drinking a cold beer. He was happiest when he could combine all 3 at once.
He had many friends throughout the years and would spend hours telling stories that were based in fact but made more colorful every time one was repeated.
