Services for Gary Lynn Jacobs, 66, Allen, are 10 a.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Keith Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Allen.
Mr. Jacobs died Friday, Aug. 3, at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born Sept. 18, 1945, to Joe Clifford and Kleata Katherine Owens Jacobs at Allen. He attended Allen High School and had retired from Idle Time Campers after being employed there 45 years. He served as mayor of Allen and as Fire Chief with the Allen Volunteer Fire Department. He had served in the National Guard B Company 180th from 1962 to 1970.
He and Jannette Carrolyn Harrison were married Feb. 18, 1964.
Survivors include his wife, Jannette, of the home; two sons, Brian Jacobs and wife Debra, Stratford, and Phillip Jacobs, Houston, Texas; one granddaughter, Rachel Jacobs, Broken Arrow; two grandsons, Kurtis Jacobs, Allen, and Evan Jacobs, Houston; two sisters, Reeca Rowe, Holdenville, and Martha Johnson, Holdenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Field.
Bearers are Russell Aday, Ronnie Black, Dennis Harris, Doug Peay, Tom Peay and David Peay. Honorary bearers are Ron Frazier, Steve Rowsey, Dale Peay, Kurtis Jacobs, Evan Jacobs and Tommy Peay.
