Services for Joanie Marie Harrington, 50, of Allen are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Allen Church of Christ, Mark Legg will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 p.m. Wednesday until service time.
Mrs. Harrington died Monday, July 13, 2015 at her home. She was born August 4, 1964 at New Orleans, LA to James and Charlene Light Summers. She attended Allen grade school and graduated from Allen High School.
She married Phillip Harrington March 12, 1983. Mrs. Harrington was an Allen Grade School Secretary from 1996 – 2011. She was a member of the Allen Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip, of the home; a daughter, April Burris and husband Adam, Allen; her son, Tyler Harrington and wife Richelle, Byars; her parents, James and Charlene Summers, Allen; a sister, Tonja Hardage and husband Sam of Texas; two brothers, Bobby Sanders of Texas and Victor Sanders and wife Vicki of Seminole; and two grandchildren, Becket Burris and Raiden Harrington.
