Services for Elmo Earl Hamilton, 90, Lula, are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Ed Rutherford and Mark Legg will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery.
Mr. Hamilton died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born January 4, 1920 near Lula, Oklahoma to Roy and Ethel Hall Hamilton. He lived in the Allen and Lula area all his life, attended Hall’s Hill school and graduated from Lula High School.
He married Ola Phillips on February 1, 1947. Mr. Hamilton was a rancher in the Allen and Lula area until his death. He attended Allen Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Ola Hamilton, of the home; a son, Gary Hamilton and wife Sue, Lula; two grandchildren, Olivia Hamilton and Cooper Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews.
Bearers will be Roger Merriman, Chris Merriman, David Wayne Byrd, Leonard Wofford, Joe Daniel, and Larry Whisenhunt. Honorary bearers will be Duane Gray, Carlton Gray, Louis Daniel, Lewis Reynolds, and Wendell Reynolds.
