Services for Geraldine “Jerry” Frederick, 76, of Allen are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Allen First Baptist Church, Rev. Chad Kaminski will officiate. Burial will follow at the Allen Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Allen Chapel from 4:00 p.m. Friday until service time.
Mrs. Frederick passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at her home. She was born December 4, 1942 at Holdenville, OK to Vernon B. and Erma Rose Houston Whitten. She attended Chickasha grade school and graduated from Allen High School.
She married Athel William Frederick. He preceded her in death June 3, 1997. Mrs. Frederick was employed with the Allen Schools, working in the cafeteria and as a custodian, retiring after 20 years of service. She was a longtime member of the Allen Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Ross and husband Darin of Allen; a son, Michael McCarn and wife Teri of Atwood; her step-children, Richard Frederick, Allen and Kathy Iker, Calvin; five grandchildren, Grace Ross, Brittany Dial, Kourtney Dial, Hunter McCarn and Cheyenne McCarn; three sisters, Vernalene Olberg, Waukon, Iowa, Betty Henry, Texas and Sharon “Cooke” Alexander, Holdenville; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Diana Lynn Dial; and two brothers, Vernon “Butch” Whitten and Bill Whitten.
Bearers will be Carl Frederick, Cody Frederick, Scott Frederick, Bill Stephens, Richard “Dickie” Pegg and Steven McCarn. Honorary bearers will be Hank Deaton, H. C. Spain, Donnie Johnson, James Summers, David Lassiter and Eddie Prince.
