Services for Jackie Ray “Jack” Cagle, 78, Allen, are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Allen School Auditorium, Rev. Ed Rutherford and Bill Davis will officiate. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Criswell Chapel in Allen from 4:00 p.m. Friday until service time.
Mr. Cagle died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at his home. He was born January 17, 1932 in the Dixie Camp Community, Seminole County to Tranny and Armon Peck Cagle. He attended Atwood schools, where he was an outstanding baseball player.
He married Lily Mae Cosper on December 24, 1955 at Allen. Mr. Cagle was an oil and gasoline jobber for Rob-Lon Oil, later Fina and Conoco until his retirement. Later, he was a salesman for Treat Janitorial. He served in the U. S. Navy, stationed in Japan during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Lily Mae Cagle, of the home; a daughter, Debi Frazier and husband Gabe, Allen; three grandchildren, Brett Melton and wife Jessica, Allen, Derek Melton and wife Rachel, Union Valley, and Dustyn Frazier, Allen; an aunt, Velma Davis, Atwood; cousins, Pat McMahan and husband David, Atwood, Bill Davis and wife Marilyn, Allen, TX, and other cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, T. J. Cagle and Harold Cagle.
Bearers will be Dennis Hawthorne, Greg Dilbeck, Tim Dilbeck, Trent Hawkins, George Cosper, and Bill Wilkerson.
