Graveside services for Carol N. Ashby, 71, Allen, are 12:00 Noon Tuesday at the Allen Cemetery, Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00 p.m. Monday until service time Tuesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel in Allen.

Mrs. Ashby died Saturday, February 23, 2008 at a Shawnee hospital. She was born September 5, 1936 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Cecil and Alta Peck Drum. She attended Beaver schools.

She married John Ashby October 16, 1958. Mrs. Ashby worked at several manufacturing facilities and retired from JP EMCO in 1995, now known as Flex-n-gate.

Survivors include her husband, John Ashby, of the home; one daughter, Diane Buelow and her husband Keith, Ada; one son, Brent Ashby and his wife Cathy, Allen; four grandchildren, Tiffany Clifford, Justin Clifford, Jonathan Ashby and Tanner Ashby; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin Drum, Colorado Springs, CO, and Dean Drum, Beaver, OK; and a sister, Ellen Way, Liberal, KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Melvin Drum.
