Dora Lee Kitchens, 93, of Stuart, passed away Friday, April 22, at her home near Stuart. Funeral services will be Monday, April 25, at 1:00 p.m. at the Stuart Church of Christ with Pastor Chris Rampey officiating. Burial will follow at White Chimney Cemetery. Pallbearers are Les Brooks, Delton Tollett, Mike Hickerson, Eddie Hickerson, Joseph Durge, and Tim Snodgrass. Dora Lee Kitchens wa born on June 20, 1928 in White Chimney to Malcolm and Irene (Watkins) McGehee. She grew up in the Cabiness area and attended schools at Cabiness, Bethel Hill and Stuart, graduating from Stuart in 1946. She married Dale Hickerson on Jan., 20, 1947 in Stuart; he preceded her in death in March, 2003. They had 2 children, Jerry and Luana. Later, in 2005, she married Lee Kitchens, and he preceded her in death in 2010. Dora Lee worked at Seamprufe a few years before going into the banking business. She started at the First National Bank, then moved over to The National Bank (The Bank, NA). She worked at the McAlester bank several years before moving to the branch in Holdenville, where she worked until her retirement, after 23 years. Dora Lee is survived by her 2 children, Jerry Hickerson of Stuart and Luana Holmes and her husband Ray of Prairieville, Tx.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Earlene Cole of San Antonio, and Beverly Evans of Perkins, Ok. she was preceded in death by both husbands; her parents; and a sister, Clauzell Snodgrass.
