Benny Neal Williams, 73, of Tannehill, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at Bishop Chapel of Memories. Rev. Mike Ross will be officiating. Burial will follow at Ulan Cemetery in Ulan, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Mike Everett, Michael Jernigen, Ralph Jernigen, David Miner, Rodney Ragan and Shane Ragan. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Ragan and Danny Conn. A lifelong resident of Pittsburg County, Benny was born and raised in Tannehill and remained rooted in the community he loved. He graduated from Indianola High School and went on to serve with honor in the Oklahoma Army National Guard for several years. Benny was best known and fondly remembered by many as the dedicated custodian at Tannehill School. His hard work, friendly presence, and kind heart made a lasting impression on generations of students, teachers, and families. In addition to his work at the school, he also previously worked for the Department of Oklahoma Transportation for several years. Beyond his service and career, Benny had a deep love for music and the open road. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a talented singer, performing with his band, The Circuit Riders. His music brought joy to many and reflected his love for life and community. Benny was a devoted member of Choate Prairie Baptist Church, where his faith and fellowship enriched the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his generosity, his steady presence, and the joy he brought to everyday moments. Benny is survived by his son, Brian Williams and his wife, Honey of McAlester; grandchildren, Skyler Riley and husband, Jakob of Sherman, Texas, Shelby Wahl and husband, Zachary of Denison, Texas; great-grandchildren, William Riley of Sherman, Texas, and Augustus Wahl of Denison, Texas; brother, Danny Williams and wife, Dottie of Velma; sister, Janette Conn "Tisser" and husband, Danny of Scipio; aunt, Lorene Schumakher; aunt-in-law, Betty Ragan; nieces, Julie Lamb and husband, and Jared of Vinita, Dana Hulbert and husband, Thad of Elgin; along with other great-nieces, great-nephews, other family members, and friends. Benny is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Thomas and Dorothy (Ragan) Williams; uncles, Howard Ragan, Bobby Ragan, Tad Ragan, and Roy Ragan, Jr.
