William James "Bug-Eye" Ballard, 64, of Savanna, died Monday, May 24, 2021 in Tulsa. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Ulan Cemetery officiated by Rev. Bob Deshazier. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be Neil Johnson, Josh Roberts, Charlie Rogers, Randy Crone, Troy Zummer, and Tracy Choate. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Ballard, J.T. Ballard, and Takoda Ballard. James was born on March 16, 1957 in Tulsa. He graduated high school from Stuart. Bug Eye worked for Pittsburg County District III as an equipment operator for over 41 years. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and attending car shows. Bug Eye was preceded in death by his mother: Juanita (Ballard) Davis, stepfather: James Davis, grandparents: Clarence and Beatrice Ballard, and an infant brother. Bug Eye is survived by his wife: Stephanie of the home; children: Jason Ballard and Tisa of Poteau, Freedom Medina and Hector of Oklahoma City, J.T. Ballard of Heavener, Shelby Ellis and Jacquelyn of McAlester, Takoda Ballard and Tia of McAlester; grandchildren: Hector, Gracie, Mollee, Stevie, Nokose, Ryan, Nellie; a sister: Sandy; aunt: Judy Spearman of Wilburton; niece: Casey Mascolino and husband, Kenny and their children: Possum and Boliver; numerous other family members; and a host of friends.
