Mary Athena (Moss) London, 82, of the Tannehill area, left this world on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, reuniting with the love of her life, her husband Loyd of 64 years, her parents, two sisters and a brother. She was born on May 7, 1941 in McAlester, Oklahoma to William and Nell (Cronic) Moss. She attended Krebs Elementary School, graduating from McAlester High School in the class of 1959. That summer, June 18, 1959, she married the love of her life, Loyd London Sr. at the McAlester Court House. They had a caring relationship and a deep love for one another until his death. She worked at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant from 1966 until her retirement in 1993. She loved to work in the garden, sew and making quilts for family and friends. She also enjoyed helping her husband around the farm and traveling the United States. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Krebs. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Prichard and husband Joe of Krebs; her son and daughter-in-law, Loyd London, Jr. and wife Kelly of McAlester; and her daughter, Athena London of McAlester; a brother, Jerry London; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Loyd London; her parents, Buck and Nell Moss; 2 sisters and 1 brother. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Krebs with Rev. Ralph Suter officiating. Burial will follow at Tannehill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mitchell Watkins, Calvin Channon, Stephen Sparks, Josh Harrington, Brant Shaw and Chris Weiher. The family would like to give a special thanks to her friend and caregiver, Tammy Bethune. Her hospice team from Heartland Hospice, Jerris, Melissa, Lindsay, Emma, Amy, Taryn, Kristy, Janice, Monte, and the ladies in the office.
