Margie Aline Hendrix, 89, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2021. The family will greet friends and family 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Bishop Funeral Service. A funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday February 12, 2021 at Bishop Chapel of Memories, officiated by Rev. Terry Moore. Burial will follow at Tannehill Cemetery. Margie was born to Alva and Gladys Pace on October 23, 1931 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Margie married James D. Hendrix in Sherman, Texas on January 15, 1949. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. Along with her husband, James, she owned and operated Hendrix Construction Company. She also enjoyed having coffee with friends and going to the casino. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Hendrix in 1997 and daughter, Linda K. Buckner in 2020. Margie is survived by her children Carolyn Huff and husband, Tom of McAlester, Robert (R.D.) Hendrix and wife, Libbie of Durant, Sharol Martin of McAlester Brenda Wilson and Donnie of Hartshorne, Tommy Hendrix and wife, Pam of McAlester and Rodney Hendrix of McAlester; She had 13 grandchildren, Kevin Key, Kellie Key, Kim Howell, Klint Buckner, Michael Huff, Lesley Huff, Jeremy Hendrix, Chad Hendrix , Melissa Martin, Cody Wilson, Rae Gail Wilson, Jeremy Turney and Amber Kincaid; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
