Bobbie J. Judd passed away peacefully on October 4, 2024, in McAlester, Oklahoma, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Open viewing will be held on Tuesday October 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday October 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Chapel. Bobbie will be laid to rest next to her beloved, Tom, in a private burial at Shady Grove Cemetery. Born on September 12, 1940, in Gladewater, Texas, to Drew LeBaron and Lois (Perkins) LeBaron, who guided her with tender hands along the righteous path. She was a sister among nine, helping her mother raise her siblings with a heart full of grace and patience. The Lord saw fit to bless her with a partner in life, the Rev. Thomas D. Judd, whom she married on a blessed December day in 1957, in Fresno, California. Together, they served the Lord with fervor, Tom as a preacher for the Missionary Baptist Church and Bobbie as a devoted minister's wife, a doting housewife, and a loving mother. Her life was a testament to the Proverbs 31 woman, as she extended her hands to the needy and opened her arms to the poor. Bobbie's love knew no bounds, and her kindness was as boundless as the heavens. She was the proud mother of sons John and wife, Venus; Tim and wife, Kari; and James, who preceded her in glory. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Rebecca Judd and Paul Naylor, who will carry forth her teachings of love and compassion. Bobbie's family was her pride and joy, including her niece, Denise Glenn, and her husband, Monte, along with many other nieces and nephews who were blessed by her gentle spirit. She was a sister-in-law to Jack Judd and Myra Haverty, and a sister to Ruthie Tripp, Peggy Tripp, Linda Kennedy and her husband, Dennis, and Sandra Hobart. Bobbie now joins in Heaven her beloved parents; dear husband, Tom; her son, James; and siblings: Wayne, Billy, Jimmy, Jerry, and Sue, who have all been called home before her. As we reflect upon Bobbie's life, we are reminded of the fruits of the Spirit which she embodied: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Her life was a living sermon, preaching without words the virtues of a godly woman. She was the cornerstone of her family, a steadfast support to her husband's ministry, and a nurturing presence to all who knew her.
