Sharon Joe Wilson, 82, of McAlester, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at her home. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester with Chaplain Louis R. Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Savanna Cemetery. She was born on October 7, 1938 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Joseph Martin and Hilda Mauld (Givan) Putnam. She graduated from McAlester High School. She married Elmer Lee Wilson on December 2, 1978 in McAlester. She enjoyed reading, collecting turtle figurines and teapots. She was a member of First Baptist Church in McAlester and the First Baptist Church Women's group. Survivors include her children, Dr. Winter Marie Ackerman, M.D., Michael Dwayne Wilson and Dwayne Wilson; grandchildren, Sylver Zimmerman, Justice Wilson, Joshua Dwayne Wilson and Rachel Rayann Wilson; two sisters, Patricia Jackson and Linda Andrews; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee Wilson and her parents.
