Earl Ray Misener, 34 - beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and cousin - went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Viewing will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Savanna Cemetery pavilion officiated by Rev. Willie Virden. Burial will follow. Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins. Earl was born on October 15, 1986 in McAlester to Raymond E. and LaJeana Lee (Phifer) Misener, both of Kiowa. Earl was raised to be a caring and strong young man by his uncle: Coy Holt and wife, Kimberly of Savanna, and gained another brother: Robert J. Holt. Earl also had two sisters: Susi L. Bingham and husband, Rocky of Kiowa, Karen Misener of McAlester; and a brother: Billy Jack Misener and wife, Chelsea of Quinton. Earl graduated from Savanna High School in May of 2005. After graduation, Earl went to work at Berry Plastics in McAlester where he worked for 8 years. He continued his career as a correctional officer for the Oklahoma State Penitentiary as a Corporal in security. Earl's hobbies were fishing and spending time with his nieces and nephews which include Makayla G. Misener, Aspen D. Carson, Hadley L. Misener, Cody J. Misener, and Ricky L. Misener. Earl's other interests included hunting (mostly napping and birdwatching!), weightlifting, watching movies, and chasing the occasional ice cream truck. He had many cousins whom he loved very much, and they will serve as pallbearers. Earl never met a stranger and will be extremely missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert and Betty Holt, Raymond Misener, Sr. and Eloise Misener; mother: LaJeana Misener; uncle: Jay Dee Holt; and a sister: Sylvania Deanne Phifer.
