David Allan McBane, 44, of Savanna, died Sunday, August 31, 2014 in Savanna. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4 at Savanna First Baptist Church with Rev. Kyle Cummings and Rev. Hak Melton officiating. Interment will be at Savanna Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. David was born March 21, 1970 in Oklahoma City, the son of Melvin Gayle & Mary Jane (Porch) McBane. He graduated from Meeker High School in the class of 1988. He began working in the treatment of water, and he continued as a technician in the waste and water laboratory. David married Julie Yvonne Arterburn on March 19, 1994 in Savanna. He was very athletic, an avid hunter, loved OU and music, and enjoyed being in the outdoors. He dedicated his life to his family and being involved with anything they were interested in. He was a man of faith, loving father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife: Julie McBane of the home; daughter: Dasha Spence & husband, Dexter of Savanna; sons: Taylor McBane & fianc�e, Katelyn Mordecai of Hartshorne, Trev McBane of the home, Tucker McBane of the home; grandchildren: Pepper Spence, Kale McBane, & Redick Blankenship. Also, parents: Melvin & Mary McBane of Sparks; sisters: Angela McBane of Sparks, Brenda Kelly & husband, Keith of Bethel Acres; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends too numerous to mention. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Reeder, Tim Reeder, Luke Wood, Ben Kirkham, Christopher Price, Tyler Inman, Jason Wadley, and Jason Nolan. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Burks, James Porter, Earl Hall, Gary Reeder, Gary Wood, Darrell Wilson, Vaughn Blankenship, Keith Kelly, and Ty Blankenship.
