Denny Lee was born November 8, 1943 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Eugene Earl and Cleo Doris Scott Lindley. He graduated from McAlester High School in the class of 1962 and then entered the United States Navy in 1963. He served two years in Viet Nam and also continued his education while in the military. He returned to McAlester, after his discharge, where he served another 3 years with the U.S. Naval Reserves. In 1965 he began his career with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol as a dispatcher and then a patrolman until retirement in 1987 at the rank of Lt. Commander of Troop "C" Headquarters in Muskogee. Denny recieved his degrees in law enforcement at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University and Connors State College. He then worked as Director of Security for Arvest Banks in Tulsa for 15 years until retirement due to his health. He married Melba Gann on November 17, 2000 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Survivors include His wife, Melba Lindley of the home; 4 Sons, Todd Lindley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Trent Lindley & wife, Sandy of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Christopher Gann of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Sean Gann & wife, Christy of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma; 8 Grandchildren Zachary & Trevor Lindley of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Kirsty, Jaycee & Mackenzie Cook of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, Kelsey, Raven & Mesa Gann of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma; An Aunt, Nephew and numerous Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene Lindley and Doris Lindley Dodson and his only brother, Tommy Lindley and his former spouse, Judy Lindley. Active Pallbearers are Larry Cuzalina, Jerry McNully, Jerry Weeks, Newton Grammer, Bob Cacy, Shawn Raper. Services will be 2 pm Thursday, January 5 2012 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Evangelist Faith Lindley officiating.
