William Edward Hobbs, 75, of Hartshorne, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the McAlester Regional Health Center. Viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Savanna Cemetery, Savanna, Oklahoma. The burial will follow. William was born on April 30, 1945 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Edward Luther Hobbs and Joneta Faye (Adams) Crawley. William worked as a mechanic. He was loved by his brothers and sisters and will be forever missed. He is survived by his son: William E. Hobbs, Jr. of Florida; 3 grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Carol York and husband, Larrey of Hartshorne, Joyce Harp and husband, Ray of McAlester, Coy Crawley of McAlester, Edora Surrell and husband, Steve of Elmer, Patricia Harl of Tulsa, Paul Hobbs of Indiana, Wendell Hobbs of Tulsa, Bobby of Indiana; a very special cousin: Betty "Jeannie" Vanderpool and husband, Clifford of Bache; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. William is preceded in death by his mother: Joneta Faye Crawley; his father: Edward Luther Hobbs; his sister: Doretta Heaper; and brothers: Edward Luther Hobbs, Jr, and Pete Crawley
