David C. Dugger, 61, of Savanna, died Friday, October 3, 2014 at his residence. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 5 at Bishop Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 6 at the Savanna Assembly of God with Rev. Dan Wortham and Rev. Mike Farris officiating. Interment will be at Savanna Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. David was born February 14, 1953 to George and Betty (Mason) Dugger. He worked for Walmart for 26 years. He was a great carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. He loved playing the bass guitar at church and also played for a gospel group, “Called Out.” David enjoyed being around his grandchildren and family. He was a member of the Savanna Assembly of God. He is survived by his wife: Tammy Dugger of the home; sons: Kenneth Dugger of McAlester, David Dugger and wife, Crystal of Savanna; step-son: Brandon Copeland of the home; grandsons: Tanner Dugger of McAlester, Bryndan Dugger and fiancé, Reagan of McAlester, Reese Dugger of McAlester, Jordyn Dugger of Savanna, Kash Dugger of Minco, Kaden Dugger of Checotah, Kayden Copeland of the home. Also, granddaughter: Shaylee Dugger of McAlester; sisters: Jeanie Franklin and husband, Buford of Savanna, Pam Kimery and husband, Steve of Oklahoma City; brothers: Victor Dugger and wife, Shannon of Roosevelt, Keith Dugger and wife, Katie of Little Elm, Texas; cousins: Johnny Cudd of Savanna, Jerry Reed of McAlester, Sandi Roberts of Chicago, Illinois; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Betty (Mason) Dugger; brother: Curtis Dugger; grandparents: David and Ida Dugger, Daisy and William Mason; aunts: Cleo Drabek and Martha Brewster; and a cousin: Billy Brewster. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Dugger, David Dugger, Don Higgs, Tom Rumsey, Victor Dugger, Keith Dugger, and Ron Higgs. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryndan Dugger, Tanner Dugger, Brandon Copeland, Shelby Higgs, James Mitchell, Don Miller, Buford Franklin, Steve Kimery, Jarod Taylor, and Stephen Kimery.
