Wanda Faye (Ellis) Bigelow, 85, of McAlester, died on February 24, 2022 at her home in McAlester. The family will greet visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Rev. Clint Gray. Burial will follow at Savanna Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Bigelow, Tyler Bigelow, Keegen Garcia, Brayden Griffith, Coleten Griffith, and Chazetin Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Bigelow, Chris Bigelow, Michael Rogers, John Webb, and Mikey Bigelow. Wanda Faye was born to Roy and Lucille (Botts) Ellis on February 26, 1936 in Cambria, Oklahoma. She graduated from Savanna High School. Wanda married Randel L. Bigelow on May 20, 1953. She retired from the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in 1998 where she worked in production as an explosives operator. Wanda was a member of Arpelar Faith Assembly of God Church. Wanda attended Eastern Oklahoma State College where she took cake decorating courses. She made cakes for friends, family, and others for over 50 years. Wanda was an artist with many talents including painting with acrylics, drawing, photography, and singing gospel music. She was an avid OKC Thunder and Oklahoma Sooners fan. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Lucille Ellis; husband: Randel L. Bigelow, Sr. on September 1, 2004; son: Rodney Bigelow; daughter: Robyn Brooks; brother: Donald Ellis; sister: Gloria Jean Adams; and an infant brother: Roy Ellis. She is survived by her sons: Randel Bigelow, Jr. and wife, Pam, Roy Bigelow and wife, Kim, Rusty Bigelow and wife, Kristy; daughter: Ranita Bigelow; granddaughters: Windi Garcia and husband, Frank, Hollie Griffith and husband, Theron, Bridgette Howell and husband, Tommy; grandsons: Chris Bigelow and wife, Patra, Keith Bigelow and wife, Helen, Michael Rogers, John Webb and wife, Kara, Mikey Bigelow, Brian Bigelow, Matthew Lucas; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Charles Ellis, Ronnie Ellis and wife, Debbie; sisters: Edith Chapman, Carol Argo; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Peaches.
