Delbert Wayne Wilson, 61 of McAlester died Friday, January 17, 2025 in McAlester. Viewing will be Noon to 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 20 and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21. The family will greet friends 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Tabernacle Church, 1 West Kiowa, McAlester officiated by Rev. Steve Smith. Burial will follow at Bache Red Oak Cemetery, Bache. Pallbearers will be, Jeffrey Wilson, Ryan Bumgarner, Hector Castaneda, Thomas Wilson, Carson Bumgarner and Bentley Castaneda. Delbert was born to Orvel E. and Ella Mae (Mills) Wilson on September 13, 1963. He attended McAlester Schools. Delbert married Patricia Darlene "Trish" Cacy on January 15, 1992 in McAlester and she preceded him in death in 2018. Delbert had worked for Wal-Mart in McAlester and owned and operated a lawn care service for several years. Delbert had a passion for wildlife; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved to feed the ducks at the duck pond and watching wildlife, especially deer. He also enjoyed sitting by the railroad tracks in his truck watching trains. He was a person of faith and was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in McAlester. Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, Orvel and Ellamae Wilson; wife, Trish Wilson; brother, Robert Wilson; sisters, Billie Suit, Lena Herron; brothers-in-law, Doyle Harrison, Mickey Suit, Don Suit and a nephew, Randall Wilson. He enjoyed life, family members and his many friends. He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Wilson, Josh Wilson; daughter, Ashton Wilson; sisters, Orvella Suit, Rosetta McFall; brothers, Raymond Wilson and wife, Crystal, Roger Wilson and wife, Deana; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Delbert was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time with family members and friends and talking about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be missed but not forgotten.
