Dorothy Jean (Webb) Smith, 82, of McAlester, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 in McAlester. Dorothy was born on May 3, 1942 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Erby Roy and Hildred Mae (Smith) Webb. She married Leslie Robert Smith on September 14, 1963 in McAlester. Worked for McAlester Public Schools as a teacher and principal for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading and floral gardening. Survivors include her husband, Leslie Robert Smith; daughter, Leah L. Smith; son and daughter-in-law, John R. Smith and wife, Mindy Smith; brothers, Erby Don Webb and Freddy Lynn Webb. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erby Roy and Hildred Mae Webb; paternal grandparents, John C. and Julia Webb; maternal grandparents, William and Georgia Smith. A private burial ceremony was conducted on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Bache-Red Oak Cemetery.
