B. L. Cozad, 89, of High Hill, passed away Saturday, March 15, at his home. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Tuesday, March 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, March 19, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bache-Red Oak Cemetery in Bache. B. L. Cozad was born on Feb. 17, 1936 in California to Athiel Raymond and Iva (Lewis) Cozad. His family moved to the High Hill/Peaceable area when he was a child, and, although they went back and forth to California, the High Hill area has always been home. B. L. married Tiny Nora Alice Henry on March 19, 1964, and she preceded him in death on June 19, 2020. B. L. worked in the maintenance department of Oklahoma Aerotronics for over 20 years, until they closed. B. L. was a proud Lifetime-plus member of the national Rifle Association. B. L.'s favorite past-time was spending time with the family, especially his grandkids. B. L. is survived by his children, B. L. Cozad, Jr. and wife Rachel, Neoma Christine Alonso and Carlos, Raymond Earl Cozad and Bobbie Jo, Tommy Darrell Cozad and Kathy, and Patrecia Alice Pogue and Tommy and their children Breanna Dawn Pogue and Kayelan Denee Pogue; other grandchildren, B. L. "Trace" Cozad, III, Albao-Cozad, Carlos Brad Alonso, Sahar Alonso, Cody Ray Cozad, Danni Jo Cozad, Tabitha Ray Lawson, Briley Thomas Cozad, Athiel Patrick Hunter Cozad, Justin DeBord and Lilly, Chelsea Craig, and Ty Magruder; and numerous great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Tiney; a brother, Darrell Cozad; and 2 grandchildren, Kenneth Dugger and David Dugger.
