Harvey Edward Morris of Hartshorne, Oklahoma left this world on Monday, July 29, 2024 in Tulsa at the age of 80. The family will greet friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday August 2, 2024 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 3, 2024 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Eric West. Burial will follow at Pryor Cemetery, Stuart with military honors provided by the U.S. Navy. Honors Team. Pallbearers will be Clayton Rainer, Scott Rainer, Austin Rainer, Spencer Blocks, Randy Blocks, Lee Blocks, William Rainer and Easton Rainer. Honorary pallbearers will be, Jim Russell, Eugene Norris, Chuck Edwards, Scott Edwards, Charles Michael Clanahan, Mike Edwards, Dr. LeMac Morris, and in memory of his grandson Christopher Morris. Memorial contributions may be made to PTSD Association of America/Camp Hope, 9724 Derrington Road, Houston, Texas 77064. Harvey Edward was born to George Aaron and Isabel (Carter) Morris on April 27, 1944 in McAlester. After graduating from Odessa Ector High School in Odessa, Texas, Harvey joined the United States Navy where he proudly served for 4 years. After leaving the Navy, Harvey worked as an engineer until retirement. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marilyn Sikula Morris and feline child Holly GoLightly of the home; Donna Morris and Elizabeth Stefanik of Oklahoma City, Michelle Rainer and Daryl of Deer Park Texas, Carl Morris and Kelli of Wichita Falls, Texas, Darcy McNeill and Bill of Lake Villa, Illinois, Laura Graber and Terry of Bugtussle, Randy Blocks and Karen Weiler of Tannehill and Brian Blocks of Hartshorne; brother, Jim Morris of Stuart; sister, Barbara Edwards of Arpelar; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren plus numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, George A. Morris and Isabel Morris; brother, Charles Morris and sister, Clara Clanahan and grandson, Christopher Morris. As his wife said, "Harvey just wanted everyone to be happy and cared for" and he accomplished that with great success. The world is a better place because he was here.
