Stephanie Dawn Emery, 44, of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the McAlester Regional Health Center. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Northside Assembly of God Church with Rev. Larry McElyea and Rev. Mike Ross officiating. The burial will follow at Pryor Cemetery, Stuart, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Saben Emery, Micah Emery, Ronnie Martin, Michael Fry, Jason Watson, and Tyrel Wood. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Payne, Scott Day, Luis Cruz, and Monte Weeks. Stephanie was born on December 31, 1976 to Denny Emery and Mary Frances (Cripps) Emery in McAlester, Oklahoma. She graduated from Stuart High School with the Class of 1995. Stephanie worked at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant for the past 7 years. She was a dedicated, hard-working person. When she set her mind to something, Stephanie had a way of figuring it out. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoyed her grandbabies and crafting. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Johnnie and Frances Cripps; her paternal grandfather: Glen Emery; and her uncle: John Earl Cripps. Stephanie is survived by her two daughters: Chelsy Payne and Richard Payne, and Miranda Godwin and Scott Day; her two grandsons: Denver Payne, and Brydon Payne; her granddaughter: Amira “Lil Miss Dheni” Godwin’; her mother: Mary (Cripps) Emery; her father: Denny Emery and wife, Paula; her granny: Ellen Emery; her best friend: Heather Holland; and numerous aunts, uncles, other family and friends.
