DeAnna Rae Wade, 81, died on August 30, 2021, in Oklahoma City, OK. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery. The burial will follow under the direction of Chaney Harkins Funeral Home. DeAnna was born in McAlester on December 19, 1939, and was a lifelong resident of McAlester. She was an alumni of the Class of 1958 for McAlester High School, and she completed some college classes at the University of Oklahoma and the Kiamichi Vo-Tech in McAlester. She retired from the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in 2012 after working in the Personnel, Environmental, and Safety Departments. DeAnna is survived by her daughter: Toni Ellington and son-in-law, Sidney Ellington of Oklahoma City; her grandchildren: Barrett Argo and wife Terra of Norman, OK, and Blair Ellington of Redmond, WA; her great-granddaughter: Rylee Argo of Norman, OK; her sister-in-law: Helen Jennings of McAlester; nieces: Connie Terronez and husband Tony Terronez of Oklahoma City, and Carol Jennings McBride of Flower Mound, TX; grand-nieces: Casey Brittain, Courtney Peters, Alexandra McBride; and grand-nephew: Corey McBride. She was preceded in death by her father: Frank Jennings; her mother: Lois Jennings; her brother: Don Jennings; and her husband: Donald Remy Wade, all of McAlester. As a resident of McAlester, DeAnna was a member of the First Christian Church, the Central Christian Church, and the Elks Lodge. She loved traveling, dancing, dogs, and spending time with her family and her many friends.
