Inez M. Tolbert, 90, of McAlester, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at her residence. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening at Bishop Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 29 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Brother Jim Ray officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Inez was born May 4, 1924 in Arpelar to Rev. John & Leonna Lackey Logan. She attended schools in Plainview and graduated from Stuart High School. Inez married Sid B. Tolbert on December 8, 1942 in McAlester. They lived all their lives in the McAlester area. She worked many years as a bookkeeper at the McAlester Stockyards. Inez was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of McAlester and belonged to The Mary Circle and The Fellowship Class. She loved playing bridge and working in her yard after the death of her husband. Survivors include her nieces and nephews: Debbie Logan of McAlester, Sandra Stewart & her husband, Gene of Arpelar, Wynonne Jackson of Irving, Texas, Yvonne Warford of Irving, Texas, Gloria Shields of McAlester, Gary Tolbert of Dallas, Texas, E. B. (Blenn) Henson of Rio Hondo, Texas, Clark Chastian of Washington, D.C. Also, several Great-Nieces, Great-Nephews, Great-Great-Nieces, and Great-Great-Nephews; and caretakers: Shirley Blevins of Arpelar, Donna Bryant of Arpelar. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Sid Tolbert on December 25, 2000; 3 brothers: Tom Logan, Dale Logan, John Logan; 3 sisters: Gertie Henson, Leona Turpack, Josephine Mantooth; and a special nephew: Larry Logan. Pallbearers will be Todd Logan, Scott Logan, Johnathan Leo, Gene Stewart, Carter Logan, and Skylar Logan.
