Mildred Ruth Pingleton Dec. 31, 1909 ~ Oct 08, 1999 Mildred Ruth Pingleton, 89, of McAlester, died Friday at McAlester Regional Health Center. Funeral services will be 10 am Monday at Chaney's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Stout officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of Chaney's Funeral Home. Born Dec. 31, 1909, in Nowata to Walter and Kathryn (Spear) Williams, she graduated from Haileyville High School. She lived most of her life in the Haileyville/McAlester area and was a retired waitress from the Aldridge Coffee Shop. She had been a winner and runner-up in the Senior Citizens Domino Olympics and was a member of the First Christian Church of McAlester. Survivors include two sons, the Rev. James H. and Virginia Pingleton, Abilene, Texas, Harold L. Pingleton, Kansas City, Kan.; two daughters, JoAnn (Giacomo) O'Harra, Clarkston, Wash., Mary and Johnnie Hernandez, Haywood; 15 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Pallbearers include Joe Bertoldo, Don Jennings, Wesley Quinn, Jim Graves, Glen Moody, and Jim Walls. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Joe McCauley. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Ronald T. Pingleton.
