DeAudrey Noels, 83, of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away on April 28, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 at the Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in McAlester. The burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. DeAudrey Noels was born on January 31st, 1940 in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was the youngest child of Amanda Harland Noels and DeWitt Noels. She attended L'Ouverture School and graduated in 1958. While attending L'Ouverture, she was a majorette in the marching band. DeAudrey had a love for cooking and singing. DeAudrey developed a close bond with her nieces and nephews whom she grew up with. She was fondly known by her loved ones as Dickie Bird. DeAudrey accepted Christ at an early age and attended Holy Temple Church of God in Christ. She was later baptized at Dow Lake by Pastor Minyard. She performed in many capacities while attending Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C. DeAudrey later united with Mt. Triumph Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Kenneth D.Davis and served in a variety of ministries until her health declined. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and was always willing to give others an encouraging word. DeAudrey truly loved to travel. After graduation, she lived in several different states such as Florida, Virginia and Indiana. She returned to McAlester, Oklahoma where she resided until her transition to her final home. DeAudrey was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Charlie Noels, Elijah Noels, and Yvonne "Buddy" Noels; sisters: Ida Brown, Lillie Walker, Bessie June Dunn, Elizabeth Noels-Peevy, and Eula Faye Harris. She leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters: Debra June Hendricks, Willeen Patrice Smith, and Marcina DeChelle Edwards (Jamaar) all of McAlester; her sister: Louise Green of McAlester; grandchildren: Deonte' Hendricks (Taylor) of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Dalysha Hendricks of Norfolk, Virginia, Davian Noels of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, KeAndre' Edwards, and La'Miyah Edwards both of McAlester, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
