Kathyrn Linn (Glover) Maxwell, 84, of McAlester passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday July 1, 2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery officiated by Mr. Randy Walters. Cremation arrangements are entrusted in Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dean Wood, Jim Kelley, Randy Hughes, Greg Shores, Jerry Matthews, and Oben Weeks. Kathryn was born on March 17, 1940 in Caney, Oklahoma to Ben Virgil and Virgie Nadina (Petty) Glover. Kathryn had worked in inventory and as a security guard at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. She was also a devoted homemaker. Kathyrn was previously married to James Steidley and they were blessed with 3 children, Greg, Steven and Joni. She later married Lee Maxwell and he preceded her in death. Kathryn was a long-time member of the North Town Church of Christ. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Virgie (Petty) Glover; daughter, Joni Lynn Steidley-Crawley; husband, Lee V. Maxwell; brothers and sisters, George Thomas “GT” Glover, Frances Lorene Stanford, Henry Lee “Bud” Glover, Benny James Glover, Bobby Ray Glover, Doyle Edward Glover, Billy Joe Glover, Molly V. Ball, an infant brother, Roy Paul Glover, Marland Glover. Kathryn is survived by her sons: Greg Steidley and wife, Cheryl of McAlester, Steven Steidley of Los Angeles, California; grandsons, Ben Crawley and wife, Beth of Savanna, Seth Crawley of Oklahoma City, Jami Steidley, Colby Steidley both of Broken Arrow; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
