Martha Alma (Britt) Martin, 100 of McAlester died Tuesday, November 14, in McAlester. The family will greet friends prior to the funeral service, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bishop Chapel of Memories. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Rev. Steve Mayhew. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Brandon Donaldson, Jeremy Donaldson, Logan LaFevers, Landon LaFevers, Tracey Wilson, J. T. Thomas, Nicolas Arnold and Rudy Reyna. Honorary pallbearers will be Diego Reyna, Terry Bogard, members of Ruth’s Class Sunday school and her grandsons. Memorial contributions may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org Martha Alma was born to Josiah and Nancy Jane (Worsham) Britt on February 23, 1923 in Ft. Myers, Florida. During World War II, she worked at a paint factory in New Jersey. She married Hubert Biddy and he preceded her in death and later married Jacob Martin and he also preceded her in death. Martha was a homemaker. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and was a prayer warrior. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Josiah and Nancy Britt, first husband, Hubert Biddy; second husband, Jacob Martin; sisters, Louella King, Lee Conner, Susie Arnold, Josie Luther, Daisy King and Gladys King. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Donaldson and husband, Gale of McAlester; sons, Larry Minnoia and wife, Kay of McDonough, Georgia, Jimmy Minnoia of Fair Play, Georgia, Rickey Blackburn and wife, Gladys of Forsyth, Georgia; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren and twenty-nine great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
