Joy Hollaway, age 84, of McAlester, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at McAlester Regional Health Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Richville Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremy Lalli officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friend on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Richville Baptist Church, 2268 Richville Road, McAlester, OK 74501. Arrangements are under the direction of Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Joy was born on October 24, 1933 in McAlester to George and Rose (Giaudrone) Ditchavage. She worked for the McAlester Housing Authority for many years and was still working for them up until her death. She was a big OU football and Nascar fan. She was a member of the Richville Baptist Church. Joy is survived by one son, Jerry Jackson; one daughter, Sharon Adele Jackson; one sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Al Albro; one grandson and spouse, Dakota and Asia Mills; nephews, Kevin and Brittni Webster and Brett Ditchavage; numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Blanche Richardson; two brothers, Dale Ditchavage and Dick Ditchavage. Active pallbearers will be co-workers at the McAlester Housing Authority, Frankie Simpson, Steve Burrows, George Maynard, Danny Warren, Derrick Belcher and Raymond Henderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dakota Mills, Kody Moreland, Jody Moreland and Dawson Graham.
