Gloria Dawn Hance, a beloved member of the McAlester community, peacefully left this world on June 6, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on December 4, 1936, in Hartshorne, Oklahoma, Gloria lived a life filled with love, laughter, and service to others. A proud Certified Nursing Assistant, Gloria dedicated her life to caring for those in need, always with a smile and a kind word. Her clever wit and infectious humor brightened the lives of everyone she encountered. Known for her impeccable neatness and attention to detail, Gloria was a shining example of grace and poise. Gloria was a moderately religious woman who held her Christian beliefs close to her heart, finding strength and comfort in her faith. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Otis Dee Hance; her parents, Lena Duncan and Edgar Loudermilk; her daughter, Regina Huffman; and her siblings, Norma Hackler, Betty Watson, Bill Loudermilk, Patty Smith, Earl Loudermilk, and Carol Ray. Each of these losses shaped her resilience and deepened her compassion for others. Her warmth and generosity will be remembered fondly by her friends and family, who cherished her lively spirit and the joy she brought into their lives. Gloria's legacy is one of kindness, dedication, and unwavering love. Special to her heart are her son in law Steve Huffman; granddaughter Shonda and husband Cody Mashburn; great grandson Leo Winkler; Goddaughter Pat Butler and her niece and nephew, Angie Gorbet and Mike Hackler. A graveside burial service will be officiated by Chaplain Louis Reynolds in her honor on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 10 AM, at Oakhill Cemetery in McAlester, OK. As we gather to celebrate Gloria's life, we hold onto the comforting words of Isaiah 40:31, reminding us that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. In remembering Gloria, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of laughter, love, and the simple joys that made her so special. She will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
