Julia Lee Berry Bond Fleck, 97, of Farmington, New Mexico, formerly of McAlester, died Saturday, October 25, 2014 at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, New Mexico. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday October 29, 2014 at Bishop Funeral Service. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30 at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester, officiated by Dr. Tim Russell. Born March 15, 1917 in McAlester, she was the daughter of James Monroe and Adelaine L. Newton Berry. She attended school at various Oklahoma schools. She married Clark Haywood Bond on July 2, 1933, and they had one son. She worked at United States Naval Ammunition Depot, Seamprufe and Elsings in McAlester. She was the head cook at Mercy San Juan Hospital in California. She later married William Henry (Bill) Fleck on July 3, 1951. Survivors include her son: Thomas W. Bond of Farmington, New Mexico; granddaughters: Denise Cantrell of McAlester, Deborah Bond of Albuquerque, New Mexico; great-granddaughter and husband: Charity and Jamie Clayton of McAlester; great-grandson and wife: Tommy L. Jr. and Lindsey Cantrell of Albuquerque. Also, great-great-grandsons: Michael and wife, Kailey Cantrell of McAlester, Christopher Botts and Ivana Hensley of Stringtown, Jace Martin of Albuquerque, Caden Martin of Albuquerque, great-great-granddaughter: Ashley and husband, Lloyd Staton of McAlester; great-great-great-grandsons: Braxton Staton of McAlester, River Botts of McAlester, Thomas Hensley of Stringtown, Ayden Staton of McAlester. And, great-great-great-granddaughters: Mackenzie Cantrell of McAlester, Chloe Staton of McAlester, Karleigh Staton of McAlester, Timberleigh Botts of McAlester, Ava Staton of McAlester; sister-in-law: Wanda Berry of McAlester; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and numerous other family. She was preceded in death by her parents: James M. and Adelaine L. Berry; her first husband: Clark Bond; her second husband: Bill Fleck; brothers: Joseph Berry, Ferdinan (Fred) Berry, James Vernon (Cotton) Berry, Ernest Edmond Berry, Walter Kenneth Berry, Willard Richard Berry; sisters: Emily Neila Choni, Helen Frances Powell, Betty Enberg; nephew: Ricky Berry; great-nephew: Bruce Berry; sisters-in-law: Muriel Dean Berry, Jonnie Mae Berry; brother-in-law: Everett Franklin Powell; and daughter-in-law: Catherine Bond.
