Mike Byrd, 55, of McAlester, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at his home. He was born on November 28, 1966 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Linda (Kinnamon) Burns and Gene Byrd. His love for mechanic work led him into racing cars, riding side-by-sides and 4-wheelers. He loved spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by his children, Adrienne Clifton, Derick Clifton, Robert Byrd and his wife Kendall; mother, Linda Burns; brother, Brian Byrd; sister and brother-in-law, Celena and Bret Ardese; brother, Jason LeRoy; eight grandchildren, Hayden Clifton, Daecyn Herandy, Carter Herandy, Blaine Herandy, Trevor Herandy, Saysha Clifton, Branson Byrd and Ryker Byrd; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Burns; uncle, Terry Kinnamon and cousin, Heath Kinnamon. Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2022 at The King’s House in McAlester with Rev. Dan McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be Robert Byrd, Jacob Padilla, Brad Blevins, Archie Vaughn, Josh Brown.
